Utilizing a positive social climate in the classroom through drama education

The bachelor thesis Creating a positive social climate in the classroom through drama education finds out how drama education can be used to create a favorable environment in the kindergarten classroom. The theoretical part deals with the social climate of the classroom, its factors important for creating a favorable kindergarten environment, also refers to the characteristics of drama education, its function in preschool education (especially in developing children's personal and social skills) and its need for teachers. The practical part of the work pays attention to the possibilities of working with these activities in kindergarten. A project was developed and implemented, which included prepared dramatic activities that encourage children's creativity, imagination, empathy, teamwork, mutual respect, friendly classroom atmosphere, etc. The research was based on qualitative research, specifically on the methods of the participant. observations, video recordings, interviews as feedback to the implemented project and own knowledge and notes. The research sample was children and a kindergarten teacher. Based on the project, it was found that drama education is very beneficial for the social climate of the classroom.
The story as a means of developing social skills and prosocial behavior in preschool children.

This bachelor thesis isfocused on the story characteristics and itspractical use with preschool children. The aimis to use the story as a means to develop the child's personality in the field of social skills and prosocial behavior. Furthermore, to create an educational program that iscreate dosing methods of drama education suitable for preschool-age by the Framework educational program for preschool education (RVP PV). The theoretical part briefly describes the history and culent course of drama education in kindergartens, as well as social learning, usage of a book and a story. The practical part contains the developed educational unit, its implementation, and feedback verified in practice. It avers dramatization, the child's speechskills, creativity, social learning, and the prosocial behavior that accompanies and motivates the story as a major factor. Methods of interview, observation, self-reflection, and feedback from the teacher after the output are used to evaluace individual lessons. The methodological material is supplemented by the know led get hat resulted from the implementation. A questionnaire surfy was also used to find out whether kindergarten teachers use the story to develop children's social skills in other regional or district kindergartens.
Possibilities and Limits of using Drama Education in Chemistry Teaching on the Example of Thematic Unit Chemical Reactions

Diploma thesis deals with the possibility of implementation of methods of drama education into chemistry teaching, specifically into the teaching of thematic unit Chemical reactions. Involvement of dramatic methods into the teaching should help pupils understand otherwise relatively abstract curriculum related to chemical reactions better. Moreover, this connection has a potential to improve pupil's attitude towards school subject chemistry. The theoretical part first deals with the problematics connected to drama education, then with historical development and current form of chemistry teaching. Bigger attention is then paid to thematic unit Chemical reactions. The form of this thematic unit in Framework Educational Programmes for Secondary Education (RVP ZV and RVP G) and also its representation in textbooks for primary and grammar schools is presented. In the end of theoretical part, research of already created activities connecting methods of drama education with chemistry teaching is presented. Drama Education and its use in School Educational Programs at Primary Schools in Šluknov region

The aim of my diploma thesis is to find out how drama education at primary schools in the Šluknov Hook is reflected. In particular, I focus on how drama education is included in school curricula, whether the methods and principles of drama education are used in compulsory subjects for the development of key competencies, and how drama education is applied in the fulfilment of interdisciplinary relationships and cross-cutting themes. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The aim of the theoretical part of the work is to acquaint the reader with the development of the educational curriculum in the Czech Republic, basic terms, and principles of drama education. The empirical part of the work presents the results of the research. The research was carried out in the preparation phase of this work. The aim of the research was to map how the principles of drama education are reflected at the primary schools in the Šluknov Hook. The appendices include a proposal for a drama education lesson for an elementary teaching class. Through the first to third chapter, it is possible to get acquainted with the concepts of drama education, methods of drama education, theater and core competencies. There is also a comparison of the desired outcomes of core competencies and objectives of drama education. My thesis is focused on prevention of bullying using dramatic-educational methods. The theoretical part is the base for the practical part. It allows a deeper insight into this topic. Thanks to the practical part, we can deeper understand the essence of the concept of bullying. Moreover, revealing the main features and forms will can better reveal it in the future. It shows who creates it, who is the actor of bullying. Also who leads it for what reasons and causes. It also deals with the consequences of bullying. Further, the theoretical part deals with diagnostics and prevention of bullying. We should not forget to name the chapter which brings us closer to the "environment" of dramatic education because it forms a base for the practical part. Another basis of the work is the creation of the project which is aimed at implementation of structured drama that is focused on prevention of bullying using methods of dramatic education. Another part of the practical part is a questionnaire which represents teacher's points of view on used methods of dramatic education as an effective prevention of bullying. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the terms of Drama education, Theater and Project including an assessment of common and different features of Theatre and Drama. The practical part represents a project a theater show performed by children in a leisure facility. The project is described in detail from its practice to implementation. In relation to the project, methods of Drama education used by the participants are mentioned. The conclusion is devoted to a reflection and comparison of the stated objectives with the achieved objectives.

EDUCATION IN THE KINDERGARTEN AS AN IMPULSE AND WAY FOR DEEPENING A CHILD´S EXPERIENCE

The thesis focuses on drama education as a method for preschool children in the kindergarten. This method can intensify the children's experience. The theoretical part explains the terminology, principles and methods of the drama education. The educational methods used in the kindergartens are discussed in greater detail and the corresponding areas of these and the drama education are shown. The specific characteristics of the kindergarten and the importance of teacher's personality are also explained. The practical part describes the techniques of the drama education as they are used in daily interactions in the individual stages of a child's attendance in the kindergarten. The realized projects and activities are shown with the chosen technique of the drama education is introduced there as well. The final project focuses on deeper children's experience. The method of the association words was chosen. The children's answers from three different kindergartens were compared. One of the kindergartens promotes the drama education in working with preschool children. The aim of the thesis was a confirmation of a hypothesis that these children have richer imagination and that they are more creative.
